Musician Bios


Cathy Sproule


Cathy is based in Saskatoon, where she is involved with a number of different musical ensembles and fiddle camps. Apart from being both a fiddler and an accompanist, she is a teacher and caller of traditional western Canadian square dances who is in constant and high demand for instruction.



JJ Guy


A stranger to none in the fiddle world, JJ Guy continues to make waves and inroads all across Canada. His performances while steeped in tradition, have taken fiddle music to a new and exciting level! Growing up in rural Saskatchewan surrounded by fiddle music, this tradition is now reflected in his own playing and his passion for the music. It's often said that "to hear JJ play is to witness a tune come alive." 



Daniel Koulack


Daniel Koulack was born in New York City but has been a resident of Winnipeg since 1968. His musical training began at the age of seven on the violin. At age eleven, Daniel took up the banjo and mastered it in a short time, making his professional debut at the Winnipeg Folk Festival one year later Daniel keeps busy as a multi-instrumentalist, producer, arranger and composer.










Ameena Bajer-Koulack

Ameena is a wonderfully talented musician located in Winnipeg, MB. Ameena teaches fiddle and banjo privately as well as being an active member of the bluegrass band "Hay Fever." She shares her joy of music as a teacher at many music camps across Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
